A listening service should be thought of as a mental health first aid tool. Listening refers to supporting others with active listening and empathy and understanding the concerns and needs of the affected people which can help link them to appropriate help and resources. 2. Spiritual Direction (1 hour)
Spiritual direction is for anyone yearning for God. Sometimes this desire appears as a sense of longing for something greater or a sense of discontent with the status quo. For others this pining is more focused, rising from a clear understanding that a sense of God’s presence is missing from particular parts of life. 3. Mentoring (1 hour)
A mentor is an individual with expertise who can help develop the personal life and professional life of a person. (Source: https://www.apa.org/education-career/grad/mentoring)
4. Counseling through Practical Shepherding
I work with the organization Practical Shepherding. This service is exclusively for people who are referred by them.
5. Soul Care/Counseling (55 mins)
Soul Care is designed to help individuals process and reframe their experiences in light of God’s truth found in Scripture and His promises fulfilled in Christ.
Counseling is different than Soul Care. Counseling is a collaborative effort between the counselor and client. Professional counselors help clients to:
A) Identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil
B) Seek to improve communication
C) Strengthen self-esteem
D) Promote heart change and optimal mental health.
E) Not clinical therapy. It is considered as Talk Therapy.

6. Pre-marital and Marriage Counseling

7. Monthly Zoom Calls for Pastors’ Wives
During these meetings, you will have an opportunity to meet and hear from other Pastors’ Wives all over the country. I am looking forward to having some time for reflection, prayer, and encouragement.
